LE MANEGE ENCHANTE

POLLUX est le personnage principal du dessin animé Le Manège Enchanté.

Pollux est un chien anglais à poil long fan de sucre. Il n'apparaît qu'au septième épisode, et encore était-il simplement censé aboyer et non parler. Son accent anglais lui vient de son créateur, l'animateur britannique Ivor Wood. Le fait que Pollux devienne par la suite le personnage emblématique de la série, volant la vedette aux autres, créera une scission entre Serge Danot et les animateurs.

Pollux n'est pas le seul personnage à avoir un accent particulier. Dans la version française des années 60, chaque personnage parle avec un accent typique d'une des principales régions linguistiques de la France.

POLLUX is the main character in the cartoon Le Manège Enchanté.

Pollux is a long-haired English dog who loves sugar. He only appears in the seventh episode, and again he was just supposed to bark and not speak. Its English accent comes from its creator, British animator Ivor Wood. The fact that Pollux subsequently becomes the emblematic character of the series, stealing the limelight from the others, will create a split between Serge Danot and the animators.

Pollux isn't the only character with a special accent. In the French version of the 1960s, each character speaks with an accent typical of one of the main linguistic regions of France.
