This trackable made possible by: Becca Hiller
Kathy Bruce, my mom, had a mirror she decorated with dried flowers and picture cutouts; a collage on a mirror. She handwrote a poem using reverse lettering so it would appear correctly when read in a mirror. She put the poem on the back of the mirror.
This trackable represents that story, mirror, and poem.
Origins of "hido," K.D., and the road trip
"Hido" was a greeting my mother, Kathy Bruce started saying in the mid-nineties. It was a consolidation of, "Hi, how are you doing?" into one word. Like Namaste for Enlgish speakers.
Mom's middle initial was "D". Katie was the name of her grandmother (her mom's mom). First initial plus middile initial, phonetically results in the same sound.
The Hido K.D. Road Trip is a tribute to my mother who passed away March 1st, 2019. She loved road trips and traveling. These trackables let her keep doing so for however long they last..
