Would have liked to see the original of this coin, it looks like it was very nice. I hate it when people steal our coins, I've had a few taken myself. I will place this again somewhere near either a Boeing plant or field. Thanks for sharing.

Had tried to place Maverick out near Gabreski Airport in Westhampton, but the area was a little too tick infested for this time of year. So, we dropped it off here because we thought Tomcat Returns would be a good plane to visit! This particular F-14 sits outside the Northrop Grumman plant and was the 711th of the 712 Tomcats Grumman built during the 1980s and 1990s.

Picked up from Mitchel Field History Tour 1 where my grandfather was stationed in the 40s. Will move it along.

Brought the coin over to Mitchel Field. While this place is no longer active as far as aircraft goes, from this cache it is a short trip to many historical aviation sites. Nearby is Roosevelt Field, where Lindburgh took of across the Atlantic (now a shopping mall) and the Cradle of Aviation Museum which showcases Long Island's contributions to aviation such as Grumman, which is where you just came from.
