Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Moon Landing
July 20th, 1969 “That’s One Small Step For Man – One Giant Leap For Mankind” These words were spoken by U.S. Astronaut Neal as he stepped off the Lunar Lander and became the first person to step on to the moon. He was followed shortly thereafter by Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin.
This Geocoin is associated with this LEGO Creator Model of the Apollo Lunar Lander.
The kit has 1,087 Pieces and took about 4 and a half hours to complete over the course of several days.
On that day I was on a Boy Scout trip in New England (from Fort Wayne IN), we arrived at the Horace A Moses Scout Reservation, Camp Woronoak, Massachusetts in the early afternoon. Vividly remember sitting in the dining hall watching the events unfold. Do you remember it?
