Please visit us on Facebook & say hello to our wonderful supportive group members at www.facebook.com/jonsmissionfor22

Jonathan Busbin served his country with honor but lost his battle with PTSD. He represents all that is good about our nation and we mourn his sacrifice but honor his memory.

Jon loved to travel, he and his wife visited almost 40 states together in their short marriage. We like to think that through these Geocaching trackables, he is still traveling and making a difference...to places he never made it to. Our mission is to move 4/4 trackables to finalize his trip to the final 12 states he never made it to....and beyond!

You all will never know how much Jon's family loves seeing the Jon's Mission for 22 logo everywhere!

Thank each of you so much, please continue to move this badge as far as you are able, his baby daughter Abi & his family LOVE it!!!

JONATHON MILEY BUSBIN

June 7, 1994 ~ October 14, 2017 (age 23)

Jon's Mission for 22 logo

Every day over 22 Veterans take their own lives, these are sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters.  These amazing people made a choice to stand tall and defend our freedom.  Laura & Fred Busbin lost their oldest son October 14, 2017, he became one of the 22 at the age of  23. He left behind a beautiful wife and daughter.

A quote from Jon's mother, Laura Busbin:

"I woke up early this morning from a bad dream.   It’s a dream I’ve had the past two years a 100  times,  I relive that day over and over in my head daily; the sounds, the feelings, the drive to Florida but in my dreams I see things I didn’t see. I see my baby boy laying there helpless, looking at me asking me why I didn’t help him.  No mother should ever go through what I’ve gone through, no mother should ever have the dreams I do....I’m asking for you to please help us raise as much awareness and money for Jons Mission for 22, My dreams may never stop but maybe we can prevent someone else's."

Jonathon was born June 7, 1994, in Tifton, to Frederick Henry and Laura Christean Miley Busbin of Nashville.  He had lived most of his life in Berrien County where he graduated from Berrien County High School before joining the United States Army Airborne Infantry. He was a fiber optic engineer and was an electrician. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles and traveling. He and his wife, Alisa Jade Padgett Busbin  of Tampa, FL traveled to more than 40 states. He loved his wife and daughter dearly.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Busbin is survived by one daughter, Abilene Miley Busbin of Tampa; two sisters, Ashlee Busbin and Dixi Busbin of Nashville; one brother, Mykeal Busbin of Nashville; one sister-in-law, Allyson Padgett of Nashville; Mother-in-law and father-in-law, Shane and Joanna Padgett of Nashville; paternal grandfather and grandmother, Don and Marty Busbin of Waterloo; Aunt and Uncle, James and Megan Miley of Chula.

Mr. Busbin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johnny and Jerrynell Miley.

Picked up from Antietam National Battlefield. I will find an appropriate home for this meaningful tag in memory of George Johnstone who served in the US Navy and was lost to this tragic fate.
