The One Ring seeks to find any other Lord of the Rings themed Caches or Travel Bugs in it's journey.
If at all possible, it would like to make a trip to Middle Earth (aka New Zealand).
If successful in visiting Middle Earth, it would be appreciated if it was returned to a cache in the Twin Cities, MN (where it's journey began).
"One Ring to rule them all,
one Ring to find them
One Ring to bring them all
and in the darkness bind them"
The false ring that I had previously released has since gone missing, as I had assumed it might (hence why I released a copy instead of the real thing). Now I've thought of a better use for the real one, to track any Lord of the Rings themed caches. These can be related by name, location, or just a place that might make me think of Middle Earth.

Decided to recover this Travel Bug (virtually anyway) and use it to document any LOTR themed caches I happen to get to. I'm going to retroactively log it through any I have already visited. Beyond that, the Ring will stay in my safekeeping, for I dare not allow anyone else to take it (really, it hasn't taken me over..). Should the original ever get snatched up, the joke is on the finder, I'd never let the real one out of my sight, that one is just a copy, hehehe.

It looks like the enemy may have gotten a hold of the Ring. This bodes ill for middle earth... Perhaps a hobbit will find it in a cave someday, and if so, we may have a little hope again.

One thing I've noticed is there aren't many LOTR themed caches around, even this one wasn't supposed to reference it, but the name was very "Lord of the Rings" sounding in title, so I decided that was well enough on this one.

Although I was unable to locate any "Rings" caches, there are plenty of magical areas near the drop point. Good luck in your travels!
