This tag needs to go to the area of GLENCOE in Scotland.

Once the tag left Germany it should only be dropped somewhere in the United Kindom. Do not drop it in any other country than the ones included!

The TARGETS of the tag are to collect photos with it on them at selected places. In no particular order these places are:

Glenfinnan Viaduct at around N56° 52.558' W5° 25.864' (I visited the place myself as shown in the picture)
Three Sisters viewpoint at around N56° 40.065' W4° 59.181' (I visited the place myself as shown in the picture)
Rannoch Moore at around N56° 36.489' W4° 45.396' (I visited the place myself as shown in the picture)
Fort William Parade Gardens Park at around N56° 49.169' W5° 06.473' (I visited the place myself as shown in the picture)
Mallaig Station at around N57° 00.351' W5° 49.781' (I visited the place myself as shown in the picture)
Neptune's Staircase at around N56° 50.672' W5° 05.797' (Although I've seen the staircase, I was too late to grab the camera.)
Ben Nevis at around N56° 50.672' W5° 05.797' (Too cloudy to take a picture of Ben Nevis.)

Of course I would be delighted by any photo taken in the UK. As for the goals, I am updating this page as soon as a target is hit or I choose to change the terms. So stay tuned!

About This Item

General background:

In the summer of 2022 I have had the great fortune to be invited to a guided round trip in a country dearest to my heart: Scotland. Never had I thought to be able to stand on Scottish ground and for me a dream had become true to see and experience as much of this adorable country as possible. Very soon on the trip I utterly lost my heart to the landscapes, towns and the locals.

Furthermore I was lucky enough to receive several TB-tags from my local reviewers… Immediately the idea kicked in that they all have to travel to the home of my heart. As it is unlikely that I am able to visit the beloved Scotland again, the tags have to relive the journey for me. Each tag does this in parts as there is:

The Glencoe tag:

At the view of the Tree Sisters I was immediately in the mood to set of for a long hike. I felt the energy that is needed, the frugality, the seclution and the contemplation that comes with such an activity. No other colour than violet combines the attributes that come with a hike.
Yes, not everything on the list is near Glencoe. For me it felt all in line from Mallaig on to Rannoch Moore. Then there is Ben Nevis of wich I didn't take a picture because of low hanging clouds. And there is Neptune's Staircase. This one I have seen. The camera already in the bag as we passed it by train. Time to have a walk to it? Not enough time between our arrival and dinner in the hotel, between dinner and night. Early the next morning we were off…
