To surprise people who find difficult caches.
If you move this coin to another cache please don't log it into the cache. Just put it there without mention in the online log. Of course, finders may discover it to log their find and, perhaps, gain a new icon.
I maintain a cache where the coin should be stored virtually to keep it from going stale in someone's inventory. I ask that people don't retrieve or grab it from there for mileage. That defeats the surprise factor. Discover it instead.
The Geocoin Club provides this lame tie between Geocaching and Monopoly:
Let’s face it – we all take Geocaching very seriously at times. Well, here’s a coin that reminds us what it’s supposed to be – a game! And it’s a game that can be played almost anywhere in the world!
About Monopoly:
The game, published by Parker Brothers since 1935, has been translated into 27 languages including Braille. Since most people in the world know of the game, I offer only this bit of trivia:
Seven of the original ten metal playing tokens are still used in the standard Monopoly game. They are the flatiron, car, thimble, shoe, top hat, battleship and cannon. The lantern, purse and rocking horse were replaced by the dog (Mr. Monopoly's dog, Scotty), the wheelbarrow and the horse and rider.
