This cache is placed near the world famous Tongariro Crossing track. We took the Hot Air Balloon for a trip past the hot thermal stream that flows from the Ketetahi Springs high up on Mt Tongariro.

The location "Lock Up" is a historical jail and settler's cottage. Opened once a month for visitors. It is a museum of a small size in a small town of great historical nature.
