There are many dinosaur museums in the U.S. and throughout the world. This Brachiosaurus Coin's mission is to visit caches near a dinosaur museum. Google one in your state.
Its special dream goal is to go to the Dinosaur National Monument on the border of Utah and Colorado: Jensen, Utah.
If, however, this dino coin is not able to go to a dinosaur museum or the Dinosaur Monument, it would like to be near any museum, National Park, monument, an area known to have had dinosaurs roaming, ... or, any dinosaur friendly cache. You can find the location of Dinosaur Train themed geocaches at https://www.geocaching.com/dinosaurtrain/
This dino coin does not want to "visit" caches. Please don't "take it" to caches. It just wants to land in safe, appropriate caches. Visiting caches makes messy piles of numbers on his journey map. Thank you for only placing him in a cache without any "visits".
Have a great adventure!
Brachiosaurus is a genus of sauropod dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Jurassic, about 154–153 million years ago. "Brachiosaurus altithorax", means "arm lizard", in reference to its proportionately long arms, and the specific name means "deep chest".
Brachiosaurus is estimated to have been between 59 and 69 ft long and weigh from 31.2 and 64 tons. It had a disproportionately long neck, small skull, and large overall size, all of which are typical for sauropods. Atypically, Brachiosaurus had longer forelimbs than hindlimbs, which resulted in a steeply inclined trunk, and a proportionally shorter tail.
This coin is part of a series of dinosaurs.
Have fun and enjoy learning more about these ancient creatures!
