This is a Signal trackable tag attached to a keyring of Ned Kelly: an infamous bushranger from 19th century Australia, born in Ireland. Many see him as a cultural icon, many see him as a murderous villian. The keyring is from Glenrowan, the rural Victorian town where Kelly was famously arrested. The town has embraced this history as reflected by their giant Ned Kelly statue (below), a plethora of merchandise, and themed cafes. I bought the keyring whilst in the area (known as "Kelly" country) for the Wangaratta mega event over the weekend of 15/16 Jan 2022. I was gifted the trackable tag for free at the mega so it made sense for me to release the tag with a hitchhiker related to where I got the tag from!
