    Checked this TB into the Rural Route Bug Box for a short stay before heading out onto the Geocaching Trail. We added one of our signature hand made glass torch beads in the "Eyeball" pattern to signify the devastating effect that this disease can have on the vision of its victims. Blindness is only one of the possible outcomes of Diabetes if it is not controlled. See photo.

    • Two Unite for Diabetes Travel Bugs We somehow managed to get two of the Unite for Diabetes TB's at the same time, so we gave them "Eyes" to signify the devastating effect that diabetes can have on the vision of its victims. Hopefully these two will be able to see their way to a new cache nearer to their goals.
    • 2 Unite for Diabetes at the Rural Route Bug Box Two Unite for Diabetes TB's with their new eyeball beads enjoy the company of several other Travel Bugs while checking out the accomodations at the Rural Route Bug Box in Lawton, Michigan.
    • Lois with UFD TB's at their NEW Home Brand new cache that will be the temporary NEW Home for the two Unite for Diabetes Travel Bugs. The Cache will be placed on 1-7-07 by Ron & Lois.

    Sweet...we get to log one of these before we even have a chance to grab the one that came in the mail today. Thanks to Groundspeak for joining this venture. We know many folks who spend much of their free time dealing with this disease, and several who have already lost the battle to keep it under control. It is certainly an affliction that changes what they are able to do. We will attach one of our "Eyeball" beads to this bug and send it on its way.
