ITA - L'ape regina è un individuo adulto, fertile, femminile della colonia d'api; normalmente è la madre di tutte le api presenti nell'alveare.
La regina si sviluppa da una larva selezionata dalle api operaie e nutrita con pappa reale al fine di renderla sessualmente matura, quindi, in situazioni ordinarie all'interno della famiglia d'api, è l'unico individuo fertile.
ENGL - The queen bee is an adult, fertile, female individual of the bee colony; it is normally the mother of all the bees present in the hive.
The queen develops from a larva selected by worker bees and fed with royal jelly in order to make her sexually mature, therefore, in ordinary situations within the bee family, she is the only fertile individual.
