As a 'country kid' trackable I would love to travel all o'er the country-side - and even the world.
I would prefer to hit at least each continent once (excluding Antarctica - although I wouldn't be alone down there) before returning to Australia and then head back to the town I represent - Beacon WA.
This trackable was designed by me (LynnyDD) and created by GeoStuff Melbourne to celebrate a little town with a big heart.
Beacon is a small farming community in the Western Australian Wheatbelt, 333 km (207 mi) northeast of Perth by road.
As it's local government tends to focus on the town where the council building resides, the town has often had to fend for itself and through a co-operative, many of the local townspeople pooled their resources and bought the local shop (which includes a cafe and post office), bowling club (the only licenced establishment) and it's sporting hall along with many other facilities.
They are a tight-knit community who look after each other and always help those in need.
If you happen to be travelling around the Wheatbelt, make sure you stop in and say hello. My sister Jenni is sort of like the unofficial town mayor and loves meeting new people.
Find out more about Beacon at these sites, a number of geocaches in the area to highlight natural and historic points of note.
