Travel from event to event sharing the caching activities currently happening in Iraq.
Attention all GeoWoodstock 4 and other event attendees!! In an effort to highlight the caching activities happening in Iraq, I have prepared a photographic packet and information card with a map marking the current caches in Iraq. Also, this TB has a logbook attached for you to show support for our fellow cachers (both Military and Civilians) deployed in Iraq. I will post the logsheets when full on the "Bedrock in Baghdad" cache page and alos on the TB page for all to share and read. While discovering this TB you will be able to learn more about caching in Iraq. Please be sure to ask me to see this TB when you see me at events. Come out and discover this TB during the event and show support for those in Iraq!

"Discovered" this TB at GW4. I enjoyed very much finding this one and looking at the pictures from Iraq. I hope that this one makes it back safe and sound to Iraq with my warmest regards and support for those over there that may encounter this TB.
Thanks for sharing.🤡

While at GW4, visiting from VA, my son and i were very honored to get to see this cache - what a great tribute to our dear soldiers. I had heard there were caches in Iraq, but the pictures were much more telling. I am glad that those hard working guys get to have a little down time, and that you took the time to share with us. When we got back to VA, the cache was locked, but my friend got an email from you alerting her to this TB link. Thanks again, and god bless you! Icefrog and Tadpole

Thanks for sharing your impressive presentation about caching in Iraq with the materials in your cache. It's unfortunate that some feel the need to crush a well-intentioned effort without attempting to work something out or understand.
My only brother (Army Reserves) was activated for both Gulf wars. He was fortunate to serve in Germany both times, but it's difficult to be away from one's family for an extended period. No matter what one's political or moral views are concerning the big picture, please know that we are proud of our military and their loyal duty in serving our nation. It's a difficult underappreciated responsibilty that not just anyone is capable of handling. Be careful out there. 😎

Thanks for the privilege of finding/logging this one while attending GW4 (pics soon). We have 2 cousins who are Marines and 1 cousin getting ready to be deployed over there (Army); we wish them good luck as well as the countless others making this sacrifice for our country and keeping us all safe.
This war, like others, are senseless to us; too bad there are such CRAZY people in this world who don't care about other human beings and their beliefs.
We recently experienced 'Hurricane Katrina' and were privileged to have national guardsmen/women here protecting us; we have NEVER felt so safe. We made many friends and as soon as a grocery store opened, we bought what we could and cooked jambalaya and crawfish e'touffe for the troops stationed nearby (they LOVED it!).
We were also forced to eat MRE's for several weeks following the storm; at first it was exciting to see all the stuff packed into those little brown packages, but that got old quick, so we were glad to be able to cook REAL food for our soldiers!
We fly our American flag proudly, have 'support' ribbons on our vehicles, and pray for everyones safety nightly.
We cannot wait for all of our troops to return home and will welcome all of you with open arms! Stay safe; thanks H2Nut for this special opportunity!

This was one of my highlights of the GeoWoodstock event. Love the photos of the ancient ruins. I traded a 2005 Utah Association of Geocachers Geocion for the privalege of logging this bug. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
