Current Goal

This geocoin originated from the city where Dr. Ezra Green settled: Dover, New Hampshire. Its goal is to travel to Newfoundland and visit any cache there, with the hope of some day returning to Dover.

Dr. Ezra Green was a naval surgeon who served under the command of John Paul Jones during the American Revolutionary War. In 1779, when Ezra Green was sailing on the ship-of-war Ranger near the Banks of Newfoundland, eleven large enemy ships were captured. Seven of them were safely escorted to Boston, their cargoes valued to be 1 million dollars at that time.
