After take off, she narrowly missed falling out but her secret documents were lost. Cover almost blown. Dogs in full defense mode. File received. More when safe.
Ok... operatives did not manage to finish their tail on me. Received notice at 18:02. But fully involved in cover life and did not hear my call. Noticed at 19:17. With one watching. Who is this competing agent? With file noted to be 55 minutes away - should I use this now dark cover to swoop in and receive my mission? buggirl to White Mouse, come in Mouse. No answer. I decided it may be a case of life or limb and fed the "family" some story about a new hide. They barely respond, just an eye roll. Away I fly, getting fastest routes blazed at me from headquarters as I make my way to Albert...
There's a car parked by the gates. Two. But I press on. Anxious to when park gates actually close (and not wanting to make my appearance obvious), I park outside and quiet my bear bells on my pepper spray as I slink through the darkness. I hear a group inside, having a little gathering. Thankful I'm in dark clothing, stealth mode... I work my way around, glad that I've scouted out this area in daylight before. I stay in dark mode until my device tells me I'm close. I know this area. Darn, there are some dogs at this property. Sure enough, my "guess" as to where to look got their attention. I retreat. Look at my coordinates and proceed further along. They are going nuts, breaking my cover. But no one seems the wiser.
I get closer to where the drop should have occurred. Yes, this looks good. The dogs are further down the fence line. I get closer, turn on my flashlight quickly and dive in. They hear me, but don't see me yet. I recover some cover, remove some more. I see protective covering! I turn off my light, grab it and retreat just as I hear the jangling of dog tags coming my way. Dive out onto the path again before they find me and start their howls. Safe. Or am I? Evil agents could be anywhere, but it's just a rabbit diving back into the bush. To appear a little more civilian like, I stop and do a "night cache". I find the cover of being a geocacher has helped me in more than one occasion. I can show them the app and the map and make sense to the locals as to why I'm here, in the back of the park, in the middle of the night. Case? What case? Who's "The White Mouse". You're talking crazy. Just geocaching. Have to go and get some milk on the way home. Thanks for the drop. Command will get my report. Over.
