Attached to the Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug is a Lunenburg County Geocachers Coin which is to remain with the Travel Bug as it goes on its journey to Richfield, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. This Coin was given to be attached to the TB by ‘eastriver’, who is my Caching Buddy & as well as a fellow Lunenburg County Cacher, from Nova Scotia, Canada.
I asked for the Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug as a way of giving support to the cause, to become active in supporting the awareness of Diabetes, and to acknowledge my Geocaching Friends/Buddies who I’ve made through this hobby. ‘Nova Scotia Southpaw’ and ‘Nova Scotia Dragonfly’ are both diabetic; however they have not let that slow them down in their search for caches. I have cached with them regularly for the past couple of months and they are forever positive, have energy to burn and are always enjoying a good laugh or making you laugh.
I am starting the Travel Bug in the 1st Geocache (GCBBA) that was placed in Canada, on June 28, 2000. ‘eastriver’ placed this cache and he is also a Caching Buddy with NS Southpaw & NS Dragonfly. The four of us have developed a great friendship and I look forward to caching well into the future with them.
