    • Muikku the Cat This is our cat Muikku (posing on top of our car, the Carpe Noctem). He was born in 1993, and suffers from feline diabetes. His current treatment is 1.5 IU of Lantus® insulin glargine every 12 hours. One of the major differences between humans and felines is that felines often go into remission, regaining at least some pancreatic function (earlier Muikku peaked at 2.5 IU insulin / 12 hours dosage).
