Picked this up at the 'Picnic with the Bees' event in Adelaide today.
Alex was very apologetic and can't understand where the chook has been hiding all this time!!

I must confess, I am the cacher who found Aussie Surfer Chook in the Perth Travel Bug Hotel nearly two years ago. I could not find it among my stuff on my return to Adelaide despite extensive searching. Imagine my surprise today when I found it in a plastic bag in my caching backpack (which has been emptied and refilled a number of times since my trip to Perth). No, I don't know why I didn't find it ages ago. No, I don't know how or when it got back in the bag. I only know that it has resurfaced and will be back in circulation very soon. Many apologies for this mistake.

Looks like our bug has been 'lost' by a careless cacher. After 5 months with no sign of him it's time to give up, I guess. He had a rough time, was only out there 6 months and went missing in action twice due to mishandling - looks like this time it's for good. See ya Aussie Surfer Chook, should never have sent you out there.
