Teil der Coinsammlung der Kanustation Mirow / poseptun
Designer Luc De Haes from Belgium says:
"The idea for this geocoin started early January 2020 when the Belgian Geocoin Association (BGA) was awarded a Community Celebration Event, planned to be held on May 3rd when 20 years earlier the first geocache was placed by Dave Ulmer
The BGA and some of its members were also awarded Adventure Lab caches and we aimed to publish these during that event. The plan was to use the famous Street Art of Berchem as the theme for the event. We spoke with the street artist Bart Boudewijns and he agreed that we use 2 of his street art works for the design of the geocoin. The geocoin would be a kind of souvenir geocoin that geocachers could acquire when completing the Adventure Lab caches along the street art works of Berchem.
Unfortunately for well known reasons that event was cancelled. We postponed it twice but the Corona virus kept coming back so we finally archived the event.
One Adventure Lab was however published so we still invite people to come to Berchem and admire the extraordinary street art work this Antwerp district has to offer to its visitor’s."
Da ich auf meinem Campingplatz diese beiden Tiere nahezu täglich/nächtlich zu sehen bekomme, und mich die farbliche Gestaltung der Coin sofort angezogen hatte, musste diese Coin natürlich sofort in meine Sammlung mit aufgenommen werden.

Zunächst möchte ich mich herzlich beim Owner dafür bedanken, dass ich die Möglichkeit erhalte, mir seine Sammlung etwas genauer anzusehen. Enthalten sind so viele alte und auch seltene Stücke und ich freue mich schon sehr darauf, mir die Listings oder besser gesagt die umfangreichen Informationen zu den einzelnen Coins durchzulesen und ordentlich dazuzulernen. Auch die vielen ausgefallenen Icons sind natürlich ein Anreiz.
Es wird sicherlich Wochen, wenn nicht sogar Monate dauern, bis die komplette Sammlung gesichtet ist und alles "entdeckt" wurde, aber verdient hat sie es.
