Current Goal

Seatriscuit wants to visit the sites of the Triple Crown (Louisville, KY; Baltimore, MD; Elmont, NY) and Santa Anita Park, Pasadena, CA. Eventually, he wants to return to Aiken.

About This Item

Aiken is famous for the Aiken Triple Crown. Aiken also houses the Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame. Seatriscuit and Carolina Slew are offspring of famous thoroughbreds. While visiting the Hall of Fame, they learned about the history of thoroughbred racing and later watched the movie "Seabiscuit".

They learned that in the late 1930's there was a spirited debate, not only over Seabiscuit and War Admiral, but also over eastern racing verses the upstart of racing in the Santa Anita Park.

In true thoroughbred style, Seatristcuit and Carolina Slew want to race to the 4 famous park cities, visit relatives along the way and return to Aiken as fast as possible.

After this quick visit you are on your way to Santa Anita, but not before a little R&R at a coastal resort...

Took Seatriscuit from the Roosevelt Park Cache in Minot, ND. I will place it soon in another cache. I would like to bring it to Minnesota with me, but that isn't until March 16 and might be too long of a wait...I'm not sure of what would be an appropriate holding time. I have some pictures of SeaTriscuit that I took with my cell phone camera. I will post them soon.

Retrieved SeaTriscuit from Go Miners!
Right now he's chomping some grass with some horses just his size. I think Minot ND is a bit chilly compared to SC, but he's adapting quite well.

Will send him on his way shortly.
