Heads up!
I've held onto this Unite for Diabetes Travel Bug longer than usual for a very specific reason.
I found it in a cache in the woods of North Carolina, USA, and was kind of disappointed that it has been drifting up and down the east coast of the U.S. for ten years. I want the little guy to finally reach his destination in Saint-Michel-Sur-Orge.
Well, I've kept hold of it knowing that my in-laws (muggles) will be visiting the Eiffel Tower sometime on 4 May or 5 May, and I've asked them to leave the bug somewhere safe near the site of a cache near their hotel, “Toute premiere fois” (GC2YHEF). They are not cachers, so they don't know what to look for. Since the cache is rated a micro and not a small, they are just going to drop it near GZ.
This is a risk, but I feel it is one worth taking. My hope is that a party hunting this cache sometime around Wed. the 4th or Thurs. the 5th will find the TB and drop it in a small-rated cache or larger somewhere nearby, or--better yet--take it to Saint Michel Sur Orge!
Cheers, and happy caching!
