Hi to N. O.! I found your Travel Bug this morning as I hiked around the Lake Tahoe area, in Nevada. You are so right, that we need to keep our animal friends healthy, alive and wild! Every animal is important in our ecosystem. Here at Lake Tahoe, the most interesting wild animal is the Black Bear. They have learned how to open car doors, and sometimes they enter a car by breaking windows. They are after human food that someone (wrongly!) left in the car. Sometimes a bear enters a home, usually after food as well. Many homes use electric "Bear Wires" to protect their homes. I had an amazing sighting of a bear last weekend at Homewood, Lake Tahoe, California. This bear walked into the lake, sat there splashing around and playing in the water for about ten minutes, then walked out and headed for the forest. The worst thing that humans do to black bears is feed them. A Lake Tahoe theme is "A fed bear is a dead bear."
Sadly, your artwork was not attached to your Travel Bug. I have printed a copy of your art, front and back, laminated it and attached it to your Bug. Now it's in Sacramento with me and I will put it in a cache as soon as possible. Now that it's in California's central valley (in Sacramento,) it's a bit closer to Los Angeles.
I hope you and your classmates are enjoying following your Travel Bugs. I will cross my fingers and hope to find a Bug from one of your classmates.
Thanks!
