I want to go to Geocaching events! With People!
Until then, I'm going to hang out with my owner.
When my husband (JimRKY) ordered this customized TB for me, we thought we had made it through 2020 without too much damage. For the 4th year, in February, we were able to collect donations and Valentines for the residents of the Western Kentucky Veterans Center; and we were able to spend the winter months caching in Land Between the Lakes with Beekeeper99. Then March came along and closed most things down with the arrival of Covid 19. I found out I'm pretty good at quarantining, but we were disappointed when plans for Georgia geocaching events had to be re-scheduled and re-scheduled to, maybe, sometime in 2021. In Summer we discovered the joy of Adventure Labs and were able to spend more time with BK99 in Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and a tiny bit of Illinois while we adventured and cached. In November we were able to claim the LBL Heritage Coin for the first time, but the next day brought Covid home. Jim was sick for 3 weeks. On the first day that he was beginning to feel "normal" I took a flying trip through the dining room on a cat toy and now have an actual 2020 scar! I'm non-weightbearing and non-geocaching at least through the first month of 2021. Ahhh, 2020!
(Update: June 2022 - Since releasing this TB back in 2020, I had 5 months of physical therapy and still had a bad outcome from the original surgery. After a year of pain and limited mobility, I had surgery at Vanderbilt to remove what the first surgeon did. Then 4 weeks after that, on 12/30/21, I had a 3rd surgery to replace my whole knee. Within 12 hours, I was walking around the hospital; and 6 weeks later I was released from PT! I now have 2 scars from my cat toy adventure, but I can walk fairly well without pain. My advice: always get the best surgeon you can find the first time!)
