Fridtjof Nansen

Fridtjof Nansen (1861-1930) was a Norwegian explorer, scientist and diplomat. Nansen was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1922 for his work as a League of Nations High Commissioner.

I took this coin to London with me this week end. It travelled on the train from Hertfordshire and then on the Tube and the Docklands light railway. It then visited the O2 arena (Millennium Dome), then on the Royal observatory and the meridian line before being dropped of in a cache near Blackheath. Hope you like the photos.

Next stop Russia????
