The sun sears down on the cedar --
The sky grey with frothy clouds.
We've been caching through the morn
Teasing finds from their hide shrouds.
This is the day, the day we found you all forlorn.
Oh the white dust on the highway!
Oh the sweltering track byway!
And we still in June, Summer's yet to SCORCH the earth;
At home muggles are making merry,
In their A/C blasts they tarry;
What madness leads the cacher out as mirth?
Full day pounds on the cedar --
Sturdy wildflowers nod their heads
As the butterflies drift about us
Down trails where GPS lead.
We're here for fun, yes, sweat, no fuss.
And here we find the cache hid
Hark! TB mission, hopes here bid
Move me along, a cache at a time, to my hearts' goal
Your hopes lie far, far away
I hope you make it there some day
Not stall upon some local shoal.
High noon beats down the cedars --
The sun is hot above us --
We've come, found, and logged, and now is time to run
I'll bring you along, small TB,
Will it be short or far you join me?
As I hit the trail for caching fun?
May your journey know no breaking!
Stalled and lost, heart aching!
Cross the vast dividing Sea from alien Plain!
From cache-bound sleep, oh yes, I've roused you
Will edge you toward a new view
Sadly, not as far as wished from place you've lain.
India is a LONG way away... but don't give up hope.
We'll see what I can do to help you along.
