Today was a hooky day, but Mama still bit off more than she could chew! We set out to grab 10 geocaches today since a challenge cache found locally requires 10 caches on February 29. We'll, we headed off to Spring Valley Reservoir where we found there was snow and no cell service. Mom failed to download the caches ahead of time, but decided we could try to do the trek anyway. Lots of runoff made for lots of wet path, some of it being flooded. Halfway around the lake, you were so ready to go to the car and mom figured she could push on until the path was under quite a few inches of water. Reluctantly, she turned back and tried to carry you most of the way. Back at the car, your feet were soaked in your waterproof boots. We changed clothes and had lunch. Headed back to Washington and down the wawawai grade. You took somewhat of a nap. When you woke up, you helped me locate a couple caches and we climbed a big, big rock. Still went home 3 short, but Dada believed in us! We got all 10 even though it took alllll day.
