Albert Einstein Pig (Left Side)

"Albert Einstein Pig" History - Chapter 1

The saga of the "Albert Einstein Pig" (who thought he could fly...)

Once upon a time, there was this pink foam rubber pig, like many others. One day, he came under the ownership of Majicman and his life was forever changed. For many months, he sat on Majicman's desk at work.

One day, to illustrate a point, Majicman told a co-worker that there was more chance of this pig flying than there was of satisfying one of the users that had called in on our company's support phone line.

You see, this man was disabled and he used a unix system. He did not have a word processor but wanted to submit some documents electronically to a court.

My coworker, a here-unnamed programmer, decided that we should help this man to get his documents submitted.

I used another Oklahoma colloquialism and explained about "opening multiple cans of worms,” but, this fell on deaf ears also. (This programmer is just too nice...) So we decided to help the unix user some more.

About this time, things got kinda ugly and each time this user would call back, I would put him on hold and page the programmer, explaining that "Albert Einstein" (as I had then dubbed this gweeker cretin) was on the phone and needed to talk to him.

We discussed the support situation further, and I again warned about previous similar situations with Mac users that ended badly. At this time, I performed a little surgery on "Albert Einstein Pig" and gave him a duck-call enema. (Go ahead, shake him and he might still quack at you...)

Well, the support situation didn't end too badly, but by this time I had labeled Albert and decorated him with the saying, "I use unix because I am 'special'!"

I placed this monstrous conglomeration on the programmer's desk and explained my feelings about Albert and his support situation.

Oddly enough, it turned out that the unix man being helped was a physicist (go figure!)

Well, very long story shortened somewhat... it is all over now and poor Albert needs to get out and get his mind off of these former travails. He needs a vacation! He needs to see beautiful mountains, tall forests, green grassy meadows, and tall buildings, meet famous people, ANYTHING INTERESTING to help get his mind back straight.

Please, help Albert, take as many pictures with him at interesting places as you can, e-mail them to Mark, and then put Albert into another cache so that he can continue his vacation.

Thank you very much...
