Current Goal

Help! My owner obviously had one too many bouts of nitrogen narcosis on our trip to Curacao... All my friends and relatives were neatly stowed back into the gearbag, but I was accidentally left behind!

Can you help me on my journey back to Houston, Texas so that I may be reunited with my family? Thank You!

About This Item

Gone Diving...

Based on the accompanying image, objects definitely appear waaaaaay bigger when viewed underwater... Or is it just a "Texas-size" fin?

In reality, this item is just 2.5" (6.7cm) long and weighs next to nothing.

The photo's background was taken by Jesse Cancelmo, courtesy of Rodale's Scuba Diving magazine. It is Stetson Bank, a beautiful diving spot in the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary off the Gulf of Mexico.

Some of my friends 'rescued' this TB from Klein Curacao, after a email form the owner, asking us for help. Going to another cache on curacao asap.

Wow... exactly one year ago (to the date!) the TB's former self got launched/released into this very same cache. Let's hope its replacement has better luck in reaching the stated mission this time around. 😛 Soooo, as the story goes:

"Mr. & Mrs. Raven were diving at Director's Bay -- just East of this cache's location, see picture -- when the fin's owner forgot to pack up everything into the gearbag. Can you help this poor fin find its way back to Houston, Texas? Thank you!"

I just finished building a new TB to replace the old one that got muggled in Cleveland, Ohio (on its way from Curacao to Houston, Texas)... I'll release it soon, let's hope this little fin has better luck than its predecessor!!! 😎

Folks, looks like this one is a goner... 😟😟😟

Here's what I got:

"I'm afraid I suspect your TB got muggled. [...] I didn't see it next to the cache, but did notice your [laminated] paper description sheet lying wet on the ground about 10 feet away from where the cache is located. Since the cache is located near the rock n roll hall of fame, there is a lot of muggle traffic in this area. I even bet homeless people may have even camped out here near the cache as it appears to be a sheltered place in the bushes within the downtown area."

A WWFM event was held very nearby on 05/10/2008, and no-one recorded it as discovered. Also, a local geocaching forum posting on the event (and the TB / cache) delivered no results... Time to call it quits.

Darn... If only it was placed INSIDE a cache, not OUTSIDE next to a micro. 😡
