G’day! My name is Aussie and I’m a Rainbow Lorikeet from Australia.

My goal is to travel to as many caches all over North America and crikey maybe even the rest of the world, taking lots of pictures along the way. One day I might even make it back home to Australia.

no visit to Canada is complete without visiting the giant behemoth known as West Edmonton Mall

  • no! dont eat me!! at one of the statues at one of the food courts in the mall
  • riding the VR bikes forest and the bugs decided to have some fun in the arcade
  • "I'm stoatally tober occifer" good thing these guys weren't drinking beforehand :)
  • racking up the scores another game at the arcade
  • DDR masters showing off their stuff on a dance dance revolution mat.
  • Crazy Taxi taking a spin as crazy taxi drivers
  • Target Practice Shooting off the guns
  • Air Hockey Challenge Playing against each other in a friendly game of air hockey
  • View from above looking down over the water area in the center where the seals perform and people can ride in mini subs through the water.
  • World Waterpark looking into the World waterpark, the bugs really wanted to try the big waterslide!!
  • Skating Rink looking down onto the giant skating rink in the mall
  • The unofficial Canadian Embassy after a quick check in at the embassy it was time to move on again
  • Visiting a friend Checking out the exotic fish on display
  • OH Canada giant flag above the skating rink
  • Galaxyland checking out the rides at Galaxyland, the amusement park in the mall
  • Rollercoaster Checking out the cool rollercoaster
  • loop de loop Another shot of the rollercoaster. Forest and teh bugs were keen to try, Fyre was going to throw up just watching the thing go...lol

  • Flamingos Visiting some flamingos in the sea life diplay
  • Treasure!! We had to contain the bugs before they jumped over the railing and grabbed the treasure
  • Yar!! Yar! Shiver me timbers mateys. We be pirates on the great ship Santa Maria
  • Ack! Dragon Giant dragon hanging on teh roof of the big thetre inside the mall. Normally he breaths fire, but unfortunately for us he wasnt in service today

quick stop on our journey north today

  • chillin at an oil pump jack these are what replace drilling rigs after the drilling is done. tehy are the permanent pumps on the site to get the oil out of teh ground. there are literally hundresd of thousands of these dotting the Alberta Landscape

since we're stuck inside today due to a blizzard, uploading some pictures from our road trip yesterday

  • the bugs and all our geeky gear 2 gps's, pda, usb and electrical adaptors, cords running everywhere up front..lol
  • A little bit of home in the country driving down random backroads in the country to get to a cache, and what should we come across? A Canadian and Australian flag flapping side by side in the wind.
  • Wayne Gretzky Statue The bugs at the giant statue of Wayne Gretzky holding the Stanley Cup
  • At the hockey game
  • Oilers door the doors the Oilers come out of to get onto the ice
  • Zamboini's
  • Debris on the ice All the players helmets, sticks, gloves, ect after all the players on ice from both teams got into a giant fight with 13 seconds left in the game. The final score was 3-0 for Edmonton.
