Current Goal

Mr. Conductor and Thomas the Tank Engine would like to get their picture taken with trains, real or model, or with anything having to do with trains. While this TB loves to travel to many caches, it would like to meet as many cachers as possible, too, so please, only one pick up and drop off per person, unless the TB doesn't move for an extended period of time. Thanks!

About This Item

While Mr. Conductor and Thomas the Tank Engine may not look quite like their Shining Time Station counterparts, they travel in the same spirit. Unfortunately, it has been 16 years since the last train rode the rails here on the island of Newfoundland. Perhaps their travels will lead them to the mainland where the railroad still lives strong.

We took this travel bug while at the "WELCOME FALL&TRAVEL BUG SWAP # 5" event on a very wet Sunday. It has come a long way from "the rock"! Dan has fond memories of his trip to Newfoundland a few years ago. We will move along soon!

Found Mr. Conductor in the Salisbury Ghost Train cache. That was a perfect cache for him to visit! I have a few train-related caches in mind, myself, for him to visit. 🙂

Actually grabbed this from Francancone GCKHYV in Maryland and will be moving it up into the New England area where we can log him onto a 'Rail Trail' cache. New Hampshire tore up all of the old railroad tracks and converted them into trails for bicycling, hiking, motorcycling, ski-mobiling, etc. Seems an appropriate spot for this bug to visit. We'll be heading back home around the 10th, so look for the drop spot soon after.
