Current Goal

Help my memory travel around the world... I was always a true cowboy to the core.  I'd be happy to travel to any place you wish to take me, share some photos of the sunsets I have rode off into with you.  I may be gone, but my memory lives on in those who loved me.  Please take a moment to read a bit about me before sending my memory on to the next destination. Old cowboys never die, we just ride off into the sunset. Please take a moment to listen to "Good Ride Cowboy" by Garth Brooks in my honor.

**Please do not keep my keychain, it is part of my memorial tracker.  If you have multiple photos to share and cannot figure out how to upload them, please message them to me and I will add them to the gallery.

About This Item

In Loving Memory of Kevin Liddell

Kevin Dwaine Liddell

01/22/1958 - 03/31/2018

Thank you for taking a moment to read a bit about Kevin (my Uncle) and help keep his memory alive.  As a mother's day gift to his little sister Debbie (my mom) I am sending this travel bug to honor his memory.  Maybe you will come across another memory tracker along the way of other family members of hers that we are including in this series, Dad Donald, Mom Jenice, Brothers Donny, and Terry, as well as her husband Ricky McCollough.  Please make sure to note that you have met memories of multiple family members of the Liddell family if this ever happens.

Some Fun Facts about Kevin:

Kevin was my uncle, and my mom Debbie's oldest brother.  Some of my fondest memories of Uncle Kevin were family get togethers with him and my Uncle Donny playing guitar singing.  All of us kids (his children and the cousins) loved when they would play Bobby Bare's song Marie Laveau.. I can remember just screaming at the top of our lungs and thinking it was the coolest thing ever.  Kevin's favorite song to sing was Jackson by Johnny Cash and June Carter.   He was a family man, he cherished his children and grand children above all else, and always made sure his extended family felt his presence and knew we were loved.  Kevin was the advice giver, and was never afraid to set you straight if he felt you were out of line.  He loved fishing, camping, hunting.  In his younger years he rode broncs and was a bull rider.  A cowboy through and through.  Kevin was a man's man and never met a stranger.  He was the kind of person people instantly felt comfortable with and like they had known forever.  Kevin married the love of his life Doni Liddell (Pinner) in Las Vegas on October 1st, 1991.  Kevin and Doni loved Las Vegas, and were truly a perfect match, partners in crime through and through.. As my mother has told me, inseparable since the day they met.

He couldn't stand the smell of cantaloupe, and hated spaghetti.

My mom often tells stories of when they were kids, Uncle Kevin would hang crawdads off of her and my Uncle Terry's ears for fun.

My mom jokingly says that when someone had pushed him too far, Uncle Kevin would take his dentures out and put them in his pocket... if you saw this, you better run. In their younger years when she moved into the same town in Colorado from Texas, she couldn't date in that town because everyone knew her as Kevin Liddell's little sister, and no one wanted a part in that.  As he grew older and grew up, the wild side went away.  You'd never meet a better man.

Some of mom's favorite memories were sitting around singing with her brothers while they played guitars.  Kevin also could play the banjo.

My mom loved that he always called her "dear", he truly adored his kid sister.

Thank you for taking the time to read if you made it this far.  Please leave my mother Debbie (his little sister) photos of his travels, and any stories you care to share along the way.

Help this cowboy's memory keep riding off into the sunset.
