Considering the carnage in Ukraine I figure this tag of the Kremlin, Sauron’s dark tower of Barad-dûr was an apt analogy for the Kremlin. I have a personal connection, my mother was a refugee in WWII. She experienced horrors, she told me she could tell how close an artillery shell would land based on sound. The higher the pitch the closer it would land. That horror is now being visited on Ukraine.
In the long run I’m sure Putin’s name will be among the great villains of modern history, along with Stalin, Hitler, Kim Jong-un, Mao, and now Xi with a million+ Uighurs in detention.
