About This Item

Klompen zijn houten schoeisel dat sinds de oudheid bestaat en gedurende de middeleeuwen en nog lang daarna in grote delen van Europa gedragen werd, vooral door arbeiders en boeren. Een oude benaming is holleblok of holsblok. De tripklomp is een laag uitgesneden klomp met een leertje over de wreef die vooral door vrouwen en kinderen werd gedragen. Trippe en platijn zijn middeleeuwse houten zolen met lederbanden.

Clogs are wooden footwear that since antiquity and during the middle ages and long after that was worn in large parts of Europe, especially by workers and farmers. An old name is holleblok or hols block. The trip clog is a low cut clog with a crotch strap across the instep that was worn mainly by women and children. Trippe and paite are medieval wooden leather.

Because we had no internet (only wifi) we couldn't check the destination of these wooden shoes and decided to leave them in this nice Brooklyn park.

Found this unregistered trackable in/near cache GC93HCW 'Fort Greene Cache nr. 3' on May 1, 2022. The cache we found was different than the one on pictures.. maybe we re-discovered a missing one?
Because we had no internet (only wifi) we couldn't check the destination of these wooden shoes and decided to leave them in this nice Brooklyn park. In the end, a direct flight back to Amsterdam would be too easy for these wooden shoes.
