Current Goal

Mission: Travel to Minot AFB (Minot, ND) and get a picture in front of a mighty B-52. Bonus points for Barksdale AFB (Shreveport, LA) and any other B-52s on display!

About This Item

A very BUFF Travel Bug (B-52)!

The B-52 was based at my first duty station--Minot AFB. the pewter model is from the Aviation Museum in Warner Robins, GA.

I have to thank everyone for the 'long-haul mission' on this bug! I see it inspired a few folks to visit some air museums and some GeoCachers have had some experience with the BUFF! I'll admit too, that after I sent her aloft, I called on her services in Afghanistan in 2011. I'm looking forward to a "touch-and-go" at Minot AFB, and then I'll send her to her final 'recovery' coordinates. I would love to send everyone a little something who 'piloted' her across the continental mission. . . any suggestions?
