Retrieved this little guy from a cache on the geological boundary between the Mojave Desert and the Basin-and-Range Province of Western North America. Quite a lot of interesting history in this area too; this pass was used a lot by Spanish explorers, American Pioneers, and, of course, a number of Native American nations before that.
Dan's Monkey has lost his left arm, but is otherwise in good shape. We'll likely drop him off somewhere near home, in Southern California. BTW: we took a photo of him at the cache where we retrieved him, and will post it soon.
