Mr. Shakeytail is in the Florida Critter Race from a release point in central Iowa to westcentral Florida. The Florida House (GCPFMC), the original finish for the race has been deactivated - so just keep him heading south. The new finish for the race is Take Route 1 (GC18Y7R). Other participants in the race are Booger the Manatee and Chukwa the Turtle. There are no rules for the race, except No Planes. Distance traveled, caches visited and miles traveled will be tracked until there is a "winner" of the race. Race Stats through 04/13/08: Booger the Manatee - 7613.8 miles, 16 logs, 5 states, farthest from the finish & MIA?; Chukwa the Turtle - 1309.1 miles, 31 logs, 6 states, slow and steady wins the race?; Mr. Shakeytail - 2246.9 miles, 29 logs, 4 states, now that spring has sprung - moving again.
Mr. Shakeytail is a rattlesnake of generic origin. When you're out Geochaching in certain parts of the country always remember to watch where you put your hands and feet.
