My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1986. She underwent a mastectomy followed by radiation treatments. Once the cancer was gone, it stayed gone until she died 20 years later of unrelated causes.
I have had to have a biopsy, a neighbor has had a mastectomy, the sister of a man I work with had a double mastectomy. Many friends talk of women they know that have either battled the disease, or had a scare. I imagine almost everyone knows at least one person that has a connection to breast cancer, soooooo this little Susan G. Komen keychain is my effort to raise awareness.

Saw the Susan G. Komen keychain, knew exactly what it was. With breast cancer running rampant on both sides of my family I'm all too familiar with it. Will be placing in another cache soon to increase awareness. Would take it to the next Strides Against Breast Cancer march, but I don't want to hold on to it that long.

Did not find it at RV Paces, it was near an old log cabin in Carlsbad, Ca, but picked it up and moved it on to Junior Monster in Virginia.
