Retrieve It from a Cache 9/13/2007 SNSpencer retrieved it from Schmoopie's Favorite Park California   Visit Log

My 9/13/07 adventure.. Day two.. For my second day of caching on my vacation I headed back up to Lincoln and made a big circle North to West to end up back in Sheridan caching along the way. Once back in Sheridan I headed back down Hwy 65 to Lincoln to clean up that area before heading back home. The daily stats: 92 miles driven, a few DNFs, countless blackberry bush scratches on my leg, one muddy boot and 29 caches closer to my 1000th find. Again, thanks to all the cachers that took the time to put out some great caches for me to find. Picked up this TB along the way to move along soon.

Retrieve It from a Cache 9/11/2007 rivercity retrieved it from Binghampton Cemetery California   Visit Log

We took Be@rbrick on a drive along country roads from Rio Vista to Dixon. We stopped at the Binghampton Cemetery in Dixon, a area full of history but now just a lonely spot off the road.

  • Be@rbrick at Binghampton I took a picture of Be@rbrick in a tree outside of the cemetery gates. I've only seen these trees and fruit in Yolo County. I don't remember what they're called, but you wouldn't want to be standing under one of these green balls when it falls from the tree.

Retrieve It from a Cache 9/8/2007 rivercity retrieved it from RCGDS in Antelope California   Visit Log

We took Be@rbrick to the RCGDS picnic held this month in Antelope, CA. Lots of people, lots of food, and caches all around.

  • RCGDS event in Antelope, CA Not being dressed in the appropriate attire, Be@rbrick couldn't take a picture with some of the kilted cachers that show up at RCGDS events, but he met many of the fine folks that will be hosting GW6.

Retrieve It from a Cache 9/7/2007 rivercity retrieved it from Sac D's V2 Launch Pad California   Visit Log

We took Be@rbrick for a tour of caches in Rancho Cordova, CA, near the open spaces close to Mather AF Base. This was the first of three caches on Eagle's Nest Road. This is the site of beautiful vernal pools, but we only saw fields of dry grass on this late summer day.

Retrieve It from a Cache 9/5/2007 rivercity retrieved it from Habitat Preservation California   Visit Log

We took Be@rbrick on a search for this multi-cache in Citrus Heights. The final stage was in a giant, old oak tree. Be@rbrick sat on a huge branch that had fallen from the tree.
