About This Item

2006 - Massachusetts Geocoin

This unique coin is produced through the Geocoin Store by a group of Massachusetts cachers. The design of the coin incorporates many historical elements from this great state. From Johnny Appleseed to the lanterns to be hung in steeple of the Old North Church to signal the arrival of British troops during the American Revolution.

On the reverse side, the state is pictured and the first cache is commemorated.

MaxB's Escorted Travel Bug Group Tour "MaxB goes to MIT", Tours New England. They drive through the Green Mountains of Vermont, visit a Castle in New Hampshire. Celebrate MaxB's Birthday with a Maine Lobster Dinner followed by a sunset cruise out of Portsmouth Harbor. The group continues to Boston and Massachusettes Institute of Technology, with a visit to the USS Constitution. They visit some Geocaches in Rhode Island and Connecticut before heading back towards the BIg Orange TB Convention Center. Photos now posted.
