Bad news!

Hallo, I liked Chomp very much, and so it was one of the TB's I took in my baggage for our holidays in Peru.

Most of the Caches in Peru are Virtual caches, that means caches without containers. So I decided to place a new cache in Cusco/Peru on a nice place for tourists.
The reviewer denied the new cache, because I'll not be able to maintain it for at least 6 months. There were some mails, but no success.

After this, I placed an information in some caches in Peru to help me rescue the whole box. Today tried the third to rescue the box with the help of some good pictures and descriptions. No success.

There are more cachers who will visit Peru and Cusco in the next weeks, but I'll write them, that a visit of the place is a very good thing, but they will not have success finding the container.

In the box is also a TB "Musicbox" from me and an TB, which wanted to go to the Pampas of Argentinia next to Peru. I tryed to help him doing this great step over the ocean.

My be - and we all wish this to get real: the TBs will not land in the waste. Maybe somtime a cacher will say to the thief: give them to me, I'll send them on their way again ...

Sorry again.

Hm, you look like always hungry. In the last days you've got your 1st non-fluid food after Lelandais finished his great witchcraft. At first be sated, then I'll help you travel...

Der arme Kerl hat jetzt sicher grossen Hunger. Da er weder Ober- noch Unterkiefer bewegen kann, werden wir ihn mittels Infusion (in leicht gesalzenem Wasser aufgelöste Kakerlaken) ernähren.

Poor little Chomp was looking so sad without his upper jaw and head bone that I started to think about what could be done. When I remembered Jurassic Park I suddenly got an idea: would it be possible to let grow a stand alone dinosaur front head with eyes and jaw simply from scratch? And if so, what could be a suitable starting material? Following this idea it quickly became clear that probably a special mixture of certain stem cells and DNA could work. But a main problem was how to mimic old dinosaur DNA. And as a consequence the first experiments completely failed and nothing grew. However, then I took eggs from a native frog here in Alsace and added a small piece of bone of a gator head that I brought along from Florida. The third component was a tiny piece of a fossilized 150 Mill. year old fish from the Amazonas river and finally to get some skin material and colour pigments I carefully and gently washed a native salamander here and collected the washing solution. All four ingredients were thoroughly mixed, vortexed for three hours, homogenized by ultrasonic irradiation and then incubated on a mixture of Agar, gelatine, starch, and glucose syrup at 42°C for about 6 weeks. Pictures were taken regularly for documentation purpose of the growing process. Not surprisingly it turned out that no intact dinosaur DNA free from any mutations had been used. Hence, powerful horns have grown, however, this probably could even be an evolutionary advantage for Chomp in the future.
And then Chomp was hospitalised for some reconstructive plastic surgery. All nerves and blood vessels could properly been connected and nearly all went fine. In the end it only turned out that some jaw muscles didn’t grow well and now fail to work perfectly. Therefore Chomp will not be able to open his mouth as far as he could in the past. However nevertheless Chomp is quite fine again and feels very happy. Although his jaws are still a little bit sore he has already discovered the pleasure of sucking in soft bananas and other fruits in a very relaxed manner. But now it’s time to continue the journey again. Good luck my little friend, take care, watch your new head and enjoy lots of bananas 😁.
