Billy would like to revisit the many battlefields and skirmish lines, in the South. maybe someday he could meet up with Johnny Reb.
Billy is a nickname for the Union Soldiers of the North who fought for the US during the Civil War. Billy wore a blue Union uniform with a flat cap called a kepi. He often carreied 50 pounds of gear on his back including a tent, blanket ,canteen and spare socks. Most of the Civil war battles were in the South. There were over 10,000 battles and skirmishes that helped decide our future.
