Incredible Hulk Dylan’s Journey

I am sending out this green travel bug on a Ty baby Incredible Hulk in honor of my son Dylan. My son Dylan was born with Cystic Fibrosis. Like the Incredible Hulk, my son has been quite resilient and strong with all he has to go through and all he has been dealt. He is one of the strongest people I know, and takes all of his treatments and hospital visits in stride. The goal for this TB/Hulk is to raise awareness for CF. The life expectancy of somebody with CF is definitely a shorter life than most. We do not find this to be a burden, but feel blessed every day that we have been given with Dylan. With all of the medical advances hopefully someday CF will stand for cure found. Thank you for helping the Hulk on his journey to travel far and wide for many many years to come.

My son Dylan was born with Cystic Fibrosis, which is a rare genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs, but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys, and the intestines. The hallmark feature of CF is the accumulation of thick mucus in different organs which overtime causes damage to those organs. Long-term issues include difficulty breathing and coughing up mucus as a result of frequent lung infections. Usually by the time somebody with CF disease turns 20 years old they need lung transplants. Fast-forward some years and my son Dylan was picked to be in a non-profit local Pittsburgh superheroes calendar and they picked him to be the Incredible Hulk. He got to do a photo shoot as the Hulk. I'm sending out this TB... to if nothing else, raise awareness for people who don't know what Cystic Fibrosis is. If you've read this far, then you already are spreading awareness through knowledge. If you would like to look up further details on it, that would be wonderful! We have been collecting money for the CF Foundation through our team "Dylan's Journey" since he's been born. Our team participates in the CF walk every year and have done different fundraisers throughout the years to raise money. Over the last nine years, we have raised over $10,000 for the CF Foundation.
