Current Goal

This travel bug would like to visit people around the world and have a picture taken with other explorer or venture units. It would be nice for it to arrive back in the UK at the start of the World Scout Jamboree being held at Hylands Park in July/August 2007.

About This Item

Enfield Explorers

The travel bug is our new district explorer scout badge. The mythical creature on the badge is called an 'Enfield'. This has the head of a fox, the tail, hind legs, and body of a wolf, the front legs being made of eagle's shanks and talons. Explorer scouts in England are aged 14-18 years old.

We will be taking it down to a very cold place in winter, where your travel bug can view the snow capped mountains (The Tararuas) and shiver in the frosty surroundings. We hope the local scouts will find it quickly and send it on it's travels.😌
