Delft blue kissing dolls are the most famous Dutch souvenirs. Unfortunately, no one knows for sure how the adorable set came to be.
Delft blue has been popular since the 17th century, but the origins of these figures may go back further. It could be that they represent the 'Kiss of Delft', 'the reconciliation' between Jacoba of Bavaria and Philip of Burgundy in 1428, which put an end to the Hoekse and Kabeljauwse disputes.
Nowadays, the dolls in various combinations are also a symbol of Dutch tolerance.
Available in the versions M/F, M/M and F/F
