Staying at Colchester University on a three day visit. Ran in the police 10 mile Road Race Championships earlier today.
Having attended the presentation evening dinner I decided to stretch my tired legs and do a spot of late night Geocaching. Disco dancing is'nt half as exiting!
I parked on the Ipswich Road about 11am and after a short walk between houses I was amazed to discover this huge natural country park almost in the middle of the town.
In pitch darkness with just a small head torch to light the way I decended into the valley. Today had been very warm and there was an Autumnal mist hanging in the valley right across the park. As I rose up again through the mist I experienced uncanny changes of temperature from icy cold to hot thermal heat. Bizarre!
Use of the GPS was essential as there was little light to identify any paths from a distance. I was lucky and found the cache site fairly easily. After some rummaging around I found this great hide (what I could see of it!)
Found my seconf Fish Eagle South Africa Geocoin! I took the the last one to Bermuda - where does this one want to go? Another Island location perhaps?
