This Jayhawk orginally set out from Olympia, Washington, and after numerous exciting adventures over the past several years, would like to return there. However, if he takes the scenic route getting here, that's really not a problem. Along the way, he would like to further broaden his education, and wants to have his picture taken at your local university or college. Doesn't matter if it is large or small, famous or obscure. Pose him with your school’s beloved mascot, or statue, or mural or whatever and then send him on more-or-less Olympia-ward! Thanks!
UPDATE: He's back home, at least for now. Thanks to all who helped in his travels!
This Travel Bug is a stuffed Jawhawk doll.

OlyJayhawk is back home after his long travels. Perhaps we'll send the tag out attached to something new, but OJ himself will probably enjoy a well-deserved retirement. Thanks to everyone who kept him moving over the years!

Aaagh! We somehow thought OlyJayhawk was wanting to go back to Kansas again, but he hasn't made it back to his home yet! We brought him to our home in Missouri, but we have some friends in Olympis - maybe we can enlist their help!

Well this little guy has now been dropped at a cache near the Astoria Column! He traveled with us to the California Redwoods, The Oregon Caves, to the Univeristy of Oregon Ducks Campus (I forgot to take a pic) :( and Up and down the Oregon Coast, and now he is sitting in this Cache oh so close to his home. Hope he gets there safe!

We picked up the Jayhawk from a Cache at Wallowa Lake, Oregon. We will have him for a while but Plan on getting him home or close to home! We are going to be going to Astoria Oregon the end of the summer and we will either bring him all the way home or Leave him in/close to Astoria so he will be able to return home! He will travel with us for a while, but will be home soon :)

Found Jayhawker in the Willamette Valley . . . under some Oregon grape plants. I saw the tag that said, "Get me to the Pacific NW" - and I thought, "You're already there!" I was contemplating what to do - and he said, "I'd like to see the Wallowa Mountains." Odd, that's where I was headed. So I brought him with me. We had a good trip - he helped me cache along the Oregon trail. He'll be taking in the mountains of NE Oregon - and then (hopefully) head his way towards Olympia. He's happy, and in good shape.
