Sparkle Dragon wants to flit from cache to cache headed west to California. He wants to visit with his family in Pacifica, CA and his friend Blue Bear. He's hoping to end up in the Pacifica geocache "Z's Favorite Things #1" (GCQK9F). He is looking for his new buddy R. Hunter born in August 2007.

Sparkle the Dragon

A while back we released The Blue Bear from Delaware to go west from Delaware. It was to go to Hunter's older brother Z. This Bear took a 9000+ mile trip but got there safe and sound. We're hoping that this little dragon will have a similar adventure and also get to California in good shape so he can make a little boy happy.

Have a little pic nic with the trolls when you find them. They have a little story to tell. Did you know that trolls began in Sweden? There is a little island between Sweden and Finland called Gotland. In the Gotland Sagas, during the 13th century, the island was controlled by the trolls. They sunk the island at night and brought it up during the day. Then a fellow by the name of Tjelvar came with his fire and chased the trolls away.

Here in Hagerman, they have a fossil of a prehistoric horse as well as other wonderful things. I told them I had cub scouts and they gave me activity books for each of them to work and send it. Then they can get a Junior Ranger badge and a certificate with their workbooks back again. I thought that was very generous of them.

There were some people looking in the area for agates... We hollered, "what are you looking for?" and they hollered the same back to us. They had a little boy of about 5 or 6 with them, so I had him choose goodies from my stash collection. They showed us in a book about the agates and we described the geocaching. Left some goodies in both this one and the cache nearby of GC1DFDT. Left a pinwheel, pirate eye patch, sheriff badge, yo yo, puzzle, dinosaur, and jacks.
