This TB is a diecast replica of the 1960 American La France 900 Series Pumper. Produced between 1958 and 1964, the ALF 900 Series proved a successful replacement for the problem prone 800 series which preceded it.
The 900 pumper re-established ALF's reputation for quality of both appearance and performance and also featured a wider cab, wrap around windscreen and double headlights.
Engine 52 has traveled along way so far. It was even lost for about a year in the jungles of Costa Rica. Thanks to some spirited Costa Rican geocachers it has made its way back to the U.S. Please try to move it toward it's headquarters in the Palm Springs, CA area. Engine 52 TB represents the pride, courage, heritage and dedication of America's fire fighting force.
Eventually it would be nice to see this travel bug return to quarters in the Palm Springs, Ca area it started out from.
